| Class size is small and feedback from the teacher, practicum supervisors and practicum students is plentiful!
General English students also benefit when the TESL program is running as they can sign up to take part in the classes taught by the TESL students. It's a win-win situation; our regular students can take a free extra class and the TESL students get practical experience with real English as a Second Language (ESL) learners.
This course covers Methodology (second language instruction, teaching principles, classroom procedures and techniques), Language Awareness (including an overview of English grammar and pronunciation), and TKT preparation.
Students will sit all 3 modules of the TKT including:
- Language and background to language learning and teaching;
- Lesson planning and use of resources, and
- Managing the teaching and learning process.
