They are even staying in separate homestays so they can improve their English as much as possible. Samir notes, "Staying with a host family is the to best way to improve English and now I can see how the Canadian people really live. My family talks with me every night about about history, culture, everything."
Tania and Samir are making the most of their time here to also experience fall in the Rockies. They will go on the GV Calgary overnight trip to Jasper.
Tania's time in Calgary is her first experience away from her country. She says after her first week, "I enjoy so much the school, the city because people in Calgary are so friendly. The teachers at GV are so helpful and I love the leaves and the Fall colours." It's truly a pleasure for GV Calgary to host students like Tania and Samir because they fits so well with the school's spirit of being serious about learning and serious about having fun. |
