Teachers vs. Students – A Friendly Competition!
Ask any student what they like about GV Victoria and they will enthusiastically respond: "The friendly staff and teachers!" This past month, however, 6 teachers surprised a group of 20 students by challenging them to a serious match of indoor floor hockey.
The GV Victoria Events Coordinator, Kylie Pullin, was really happy to witness the friendly competition! In fact, her sports events have been so popular this past season that she is scheduling more for the upcoming fall and winter. We can't give away all her secrets, but it looks like ice hockey, curling, and ski trips are on Kylie's agenda. Hope to see you there!

Hiking in Pacific Rim National Park
A trip to Vancouver Island is not complete without experiencing the rugged wilderness of Canada's West Coast. The ultimate destination is Pacific Rim National Park, a beautiful marine reserve that attracts surfers and vacationers from all over the world.
Our recent school tour allowed students to hike along sandy beaches and in coastal rainforest, as well as learn about the cultural history and marine life in the area. In the evenings, the group enjoyed cooking dinner together in their cozy hostel.
Key stop points for the tour included: Coombs, Cathedral Grove, Ucluelet, Tofino, Wild Pacific Trail, Long Beach and Chesterman Beach. |
