GV Vancouver Spookfest
Halloween was spooktacular at GV Vancouver this year! Students were introduced to the ghoulish traditions at the Halloween costume workshop on the 25th of October where they were given great ideas for costumes and the best places to find materials to create their masterpieces.
On Friday the 26th a number of students tested their artistry skills on pumpkin carving. In the meantime, other mischievous students and staff created a haunted house of horrors in one of the classrooms. Daring visitors were led through a darkened maze filled with scary sounds, spider webs. Monsters jumped out and frightened the unsuspecting participants.
The freaky finale to the Halloween festivities was the Halloween party at Sonar Nightclub on Halloween night where 280 GV students enjoyed a night of dancing and showing off their costume creations. Prizes were awarded to the best and most innovative designs.
Halloween is very popular with students and many will be returning home with fantastic pictures, memories and stories to tell their friends and family about the haunted hallows of Global Village Vancouver!
