Entry requirements
Learners who have completed and passed a minimum intermediate course at the college and new students who have achieved a score no lower than 6.0 based on the IELTS band score or equivalent.
Course Objectives
To offer language activities which learners find stimulating and meaningful and which develop learners’ abilities in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar enabling the learners to successfully sit the IELTS examination.
The curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the IELTS and is based on student centred principles as outlined above. Communicative methodology is used with a focus on vocabulary development. Due to the requirements of the reading and writing parts of the IELTS exam, reading and writing skills will need to be explicitly taught.
Timetable
25 hours per week (entry IETLS 6.5) or 30 hours per week (entry IELTS 6.0) options are both available. |
