Customised Course Plans

Students at GV Brisbane have a unique opportunity to customize their study plans in consultation with their teacher and Director of Studies. A monthly 1-to-1 interview to review progress and identify further learning objectives provides students with the opportunity to transfer from one programme to another with complete flexibility.

As all GV Brisbane courses follow the same timetable and tuition fees are also identical, students may wish to transfer from General English to English Out & About to IELTS to EAP to FCE, the only requirement being that they achieve the prerequisite level to enter each particular course. This structure takes the pressure off students who would normally be expected to commit to a pre-determined study plan prior to their arrival in Australia and also allows our overseas representatives to counsel their clients to wait and see what inspires them once they have arrived at the school and have had an opportunity to discuss their study plan with our academic staff.

New Student Feedback Forms

In order to better assess and respond to our students' feedback on every aspect of their experience at GV Brisbane, this month sees the launch of a new questionnaire to be completed by all departing students. Monthly statistics will be compiled and published in this newsletter.

EAP Student: Meet Kate

GV Bribane student Kate, from Korea, is now considering her further study options at a choice of institutions after successfully completing her EAP II course.

Kate's thoughts on the course were: "This class felt like a family. Margie (our teacher) was like a mother with a PhD. She helped us a lot beyond just classwork. For example, I was getting ready for my IELTS test at the same time & she used to help me prepare for that after class. EAP really helped my writing become academic."

We wish Kate the best of luck with her future studies!

The next EAP course begins on 21st April and a few places are still available.
