GV TESOL Diploma catches fire!
Another session of the GV TESOL Diploma has started and demand for this course is picking up pace as the need for qualified English teachers is increasing worldwide. GV Calgary's 8-week GV TESOL Diploma is an excellent course for students interested in teaching ESL back in their countries and for increasing their confidence in English. GV Calgary is proud to announce a new addition to the TESOL course: Grammar Rules. In this afternoon portion of the course, students study in depth the rules for grammar. The focus is on why certain grammar points are used over others. This class gives TESOL students a better understanding of how to teach the grammar.
Students in the GV Calgary TESOL program are also registered for the University of Cambridge Teachers' Knowledge Test (TKT). "TKT offers candidates a step in their professional development as teachers and enables them to move onto higher-level teaching qualifications and access professional support materials, such as journals about English language teaching (ELT)", according to Cambridge.

Spring is in the air!
As the ski and snowboard season winds down, spring activities are coming out of cold storage. One such activity is ball hockey. With the weather getting warmer and the days getting longer, Calgarians are breaking out their outdoor equipment. Students have the opportunity to take part in this truly Canadian sport. Ball hockey gives students the chance to play Canada's #1 sport -- hockey --without needing to know how to skate!
