Soccer fever is alive at GV Hawaii!
GV Hawaii students got a taste of the international soccer scene by watching the Pan Pacific Soccer Tournament, which was won by Gamba Osaka from Japan. This tournament showcased David Beckham, an international soccer icon, who plays for Los Angeles Galaxy and Hawaii born, Brian Ching, who plays for Houston Dynamo. There was some great soccer to be seen and couple days later, GV Hawaii students were inspired to show off some of their own soccer skills at a soccer activity, which was then followed by a Beach BBQ. This was a popular school activity, which drew a lot of interest from students. |
