Test Preparation Courses Are Strong
Cambridge Winter FCE: As the March Exam date draws closer, GV Victoria’s Cambridge FCE students are busy preparing for their exams. This year’s winter Cambridge students are a small, motivated group.
- Nina is taking the FCE and CAE exams for her university preparation in Zurich, Switzerland. After she passes the exam, she is planning to go traveling in the U.S. then write the Proficiency exam back home in June.
- Fuyuki is taking Cambridge to prepare for the Career English Diploma program in GV Toronto. He is excited about getting an internship in the tourism industry.
- Seok Kwang (David) transferred to Victoria from GV Calgary. He plans to stay on and enjoy the sunny Victoria spring weather while working part time at Starbucks.
- Myung A (Cindy) worked for Burton Snowboards in Korea. She has been improving her English skills and plans to continue working with international companies.
This week, however, all the students will be writing practice exams, studying hard and hoping to get good marks on their exams. |
GV Victoria becomes an IELTS Off-site Test Centre: IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS is recognized by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. It is also recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
To assist IELTS candidates in their preparation for the test, GV Victoria plans to hold workshops prior to IELTS test dates.
