NEW! English 4 Life Program – Starting 21 April

This new program has been designed to give students "real life"; English learning opportunities.

Course Structure

Morning (AM):  Visits/activities outside of the classroom e.g. NSW Art Gallery, Customs House, The Rocks, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Olympic Park and more!

Afternoon (PM): In class, analyse language from the morning & prepare for the next day.

Objectives

• Experience "real life" English
• Build confidence in speaking English outside of the classroom
• Provide an opportunity to interact with local people outside of the classroom
• Develop your speaking ability - in particular improve fluency
• Broaden your range of grammar and vocabulary for everyday situations

Other Features

• Students will blog about their experiences and practice on a daily basis
• Blogs will be reviewed by the teacher 2-3 times per week
• Students will receive a detailed report and transcript at the end of the course outlining grades and comments

This 4-week course is for non-Student Visa students and starts on 21 April.

Careers Day – A Success!

Our biannual Careers Day was attended by 6 universities and 10 vocational colleges. The Careers Day gives our pathway partners the opportunity to meet with potential students and for our students to discuss courses and programs they may wish to study in the future. For students who have already selected their further study destination, it provides them with the opportunity to meet with the staff at these universities and colleges in person.

The event was well attended and a big success!

HSP - Term 4 Ending 24 December

We are extending Term 4 of our High School Preparation (HSP) program to 12 weeks. This allows our HSP students to study with us right up until the Christmas holiday break, beginning on Thurs 25 December. Therefore, Term 4 of our HSP program will now end on 24 December, not 19 December as highlighted in our Enrolment Form.

Student Talk - Flexi-Track IELTS Student

"I studied the Flexi-Track IELTS (part-time evening) course for 5 weeks and I honestly believe I got more than what I paid for. The teacher was great and I felt very comfortable in the class. We were given homework each night with valuable feedback after it was marked, practice exams and other useful exercises to improve our English skills. After this course, I obtained the IELTS scores that I wanted because I felt very confident in taking my IELTS test. I am now able to get permanent residency in Australia. Daylight Saving Ends

Please note that Daylight Saving ended in Sydney on Sunday, 6 April. We have turned our clocks back by 1 hour so that, for example, 10:00am is now 9:00am.
