What is a Cambridge Exam Preparation Program?
Cambridge Exam Preparation is essential for students who need a Cambridge exam score to achieve their goals, whether it is for employment, professional accreditation or further education.
Global Village English Centre in Victoria is pleased to offer full-time 4-week preparation program for the following Cambridge Exams:
- Cambridge English: B2 First exam (FCE)
- Cambridge English: C1 Advanced exam (CAE)
Both of the Global Village Cambridge Preparation programs include intensive vocabulary building and cover all four (4) modules of the exam:
- Reading / Use of English
- Writing
- Listening
- Speaking
Our Cambridge Exam Preparation Program at Global Village
Students who register in a Global Village Cambridge Preparation Program will be registered in a Cambridge Exam as well.
Cambridge Exams are held at the Global Village school facility in Victoria, BC in the week immediately after the preparation program.

Exam Dates 2022
GV Cambridge Exam Preparation Programs are offered from June 27 to July 22, 2022. Cambridge Exams are held at the Global Village school facility in Victoria, BC in the week immediately after the preparation program.
- Cambridge FCE B2 First Exam Date: Thursday, July 28, 2022
- Cambridge CAE C1 Advanced Exam Date: Friday, July 29, 2022
Who is this course for?
Cambridge is an international certificate valid for life and is recognized around the world for business, study and immigration purposes. Thousands of employers, universities and government departments officially recognize a Cambridge English Exam qualification.
The B2 First exam (FCE) is an upper-intermediate qualification in English. Successfully completing this exam proves that an individual is able to live and work in an English-speaking environment.
The C1 Advanced exam (CAE) is an advanced qualification in English. Successfully completing this exam proves that an individual is ready to study at the university/college level in an English-speaking environment.
When is this course offered?
30 LESSONS PER WEEK
Monday - Friday
20 lessons of General English or IELTS Preparation:
08:45 - 12:20 PM PST
Monday - Thursday
10 lessons of FCE or CAE:
Option 1: 01:05 - 02:10 PM PST
Option 2: 02:25 - 03:30 PM PST
Learning Outcomes
By the end of a Cambridge Exam Preparation Program at Global Village English Centre in Victoria, students will be ready to meet the following learning outcomes:
Cambridge English B2 First (FCE):
- Know what is expected on all four papers of the Cambridge English: First exam
- Know the strategies to approach each part of all the exam papers
- Be able to talk comfortably on a variety of topics that are often found on the exam
- Be familiar with all the main areas of grammar you need to know for Cambridge English: First exam
- Learn at least 30 key words each week of the course
- Be able to write an essay giving your opinion on a given topic
- Be able to write an article, an email/letter, a report and a review
Cambridge English: C1 Advanced (CAE)
- Know what is expected on all four papers of the Cambridge English: C1 Advanced exam
- Know the strategies to approach each part of all the exam papers
- Be able to talk with confidence and appropriately on a variety of topics commonly found on the exam
- Be familiar with all the main areas of grammar you need to know for Cambridge English: C1 Advanced exam
- Learn at least 30-40 key words each week of the course
- Be able to write an essay giving your opinion on a given topic
- Be able to write an an email/letter, a proposal, a report and a review
