New Adventures, New You

Volunteering is an activity that connects Global Village Hawaii students with local organizations in the areas of health, education, tutoring, community organizing, the environment, and more!

Students registered for volunteering are given a unique opportunity to learn outside the classroom from organizations that are dedicated to solving community and global issues. This real-world setting allows students to have direct experience with the English speaking community and benefit from cultural enrichment.

  • An early childcare education student provided homework help and nurtured a love for learning, creativity, and cultural awareness at IHS-Children's Enrichment Services.

  • A construction engineering student designed and restored materials and devices to assist people that cannot afford housing materials at Habitat for Humanity’s Restore facility

  • A nursing student was given the opportunity to support and care for elderly by engaging them in physical and mental activities that support health at the elderly care hospital.
