The GV Working Holiday Support Program is designed for international students who want to enhance their English skills while preparing to enter the Canadian workforce. Offered in both Victoria and Calgary, this comprehensive program includes 30 lessons per week - blending General English instruction with targeted Work Readiness training. Students can choose from 8, 12, or 16 week options, depending on their goals and schedule.
As part of the program, students receive resume workshops, interview coaching, and job search support, including referrals to potential employers in British Columbia and Alberta. While Global Village does not directly provide employment, it actively supports students in finding work by connecting them with local opportunities and preparing them for successful job interviews.

Our Working Holiday Support Package includes:

Please Note: To join the GV Working Holiday Support Program, students must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid working holiday visa or work permit, allowing them to legally work in Canada. Applicants are required to submit a resume and cover letter at the time of registration.
While students of any English level may enroll in the program, entry into the job readiness portion requires successful completion of the Work Readiness Program, which typically begins at the GV4 (lower intermediate) level.
