🎉We are saying goodbye to lots of friends today, but we know they are going on to achieve all their future goals!
🎓 Sota Ishikawa graduated from GV 5. Sota is a professional hair stylist and has worked in Victoria and Japan cutting hair. We hope is English skills will help him further his career even more. Best of luck Sota!
🎓 Claudia and Dietmar Oesten are a lovely German couple who are visiting Canada to spend time with their daughter and their new grandchild. They were only with us for a week but we all enjoyed meeting them and spending time with them.
🎓 Rikuto Kobayashi graduated his pathway program and will be joining the Business Administration Diploma program at University of Victoria this fall, but not before a trip to Hawaii! Have fun!!

GV is very proud of our two students, David and Julia, who took part in the Times Colonist 10K run on Sunday, April 27th. David is an avid marathoner and finished with an amazing time of 42:05! Luckily we only have to say goodbye top a few members of our GV family this week.
Chisato Arai is a Japanese student who studied at GV Victoria for 12 weeks making her way from a beginner to a pre-intermediate student. She is working here in Victoria and will be here until January! We hope she drops by to say hi sometime!
Rina Kitano is also from Japan but was only here for 3 weeks. She will be returning to japan to look for a job there. We wish her the best of luck in her future.

A quiet day at graduation today… luckily we are only losing a couple of members of our GV family.
Anna Hamano is returning to Japan after four weeks here in the GV3 class. I’m sure her classmates will miss her!
Haruka Onohara is also returning to Japan…she graduated from the GV4 class.
Azael Cuevas Rangel is returning to Mexico – he has been with us for 10 weeks and is hoping to get a new job! Good luck Azael!

Renzo Rojas Bonilla (Post-Grad Diploma in Business Administration at Camosun College) is crushing his academic journey from Peru to Canada! 🇵🇪🇨🇦 While the first semester was challenging, Renzo adapted, improved his grades in the spring, and aims for that A in the fall! 🎯 Here are his wise words for future GV Pathway students:

This week, we caught up with Juan de Dios, a Global Village Victoria graduate (summer 2023) who is now pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration and Sustainability at Royal Roads University!
He loves the beautiful campus`s supportive environment and ample opportunities for focused study.
Royal Roads is known for its project-based learning; Juan`s experience reflects that. He collaborates with his team on real-world projects with local businesses, honing his presentation skills!
Juan`s Top Tips for Future RRU Students:

🎓 Today we said goodbye to some more of our good friends:
👋 Claudie Girard joined us on GV 5 for four weeks, marking her second time here; she had so much fun the first time! Being Quebecois, Claudie knows Canada well and was looking forward to spending more time on this side of the country! We hope she had a great time in Victoria, I know all her friends here will miss her!
🇲🇽 Jose Angel Moreno Terrazas is a long-time Mexican student who also graduated from GV today, this time from GV7. He is known for being quiet and caring, but also for being a great friend. He will return to his country to go to university – perhaps software engineering. Good luck angel!
🍁 JunYu Wang is another GV 5 student who finished today. He hopes to get PR (Permanent Residency) here in Canada, so I think he likes it here! His teachers say he is a hard-working student and a super nice guy. We hope you get that PR Jun!
