The Camosun College & Global Village Victoria Pathway Program provides students with a seamless path from GV’s language preparation programs to Camosun’s diploma, associate degree and degree programs. This pathway program is built on an approved Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) policy.Students will receive one Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and one PAL issued by Camosun. The LOA will outline the following program structure:
What does the program consist of?
- Term 0 Foundational academic language learning required for success in the Camosun academic credential. This will be a combined Camosun-Global Village language program.
- Term 1+ Full-time academic coursework leading to the completion of a CC academic credential. To be completed at Camosun.
Admission requirements
Students progressing from GV will only be eligible for entry into Camosun after successfully completing GV 6. This is an IRCC requirement. Upon successfully completing GV 6, students progress to ELD 09 at Camosun. Upon successfully completing ELD 09, students may progress into their academic program at Camosun.
Students will be admissible to Camosun through this pathway once they have met all of the program requirements.
Special Considerations
Students applying through this pathway who meet all of the admission requirements will receive a Letter of Eligibility. While the deposit amount typically requested of international students at Camosun is equivalent to approximately one year of tuition and fees, special consideration may be given to applicants through this pathway to pay a reduced deposit amount equivalent to approximately one semester of tuition and fees.
How to Apply?
- Submit Application: Apply through a Camosun-authorized education consultant or directly via the college portal.
- Language Assessment: Complete the entry test to determine your starting level at Global Village.
- Receive Visa Documents: Obtain your unified LOA and PAL to apply for your Canadian study permit.
