Originally from Japan, Kanaho arrives in Canada to begin her English studies at Global Village. While excited for the journey ahead, she also finds herself navigating the uncertainties of a completely unfamiliar setting.

Homestay Experience Begins

Kanaho moves in with her host family, where she enjoys a balance of independence and shared moments. Living with a host family allows her to stay on track academically while building connections outside the classroom.

First Week at Global Village

Within her first few days at Global Village, Kanaho begins forming meaningful friendships and connecting with her teachers. These early relationships help her feel comfortable in her new environment.

Builds Social Network

Kanaho attends student-organized gatherings and gets invited to parties by new friends, giving her more chances to meet people and settle into her new life in Canada.

Career Preparation at Global Village

Through specialized classes in resume writing, interview techniques, and workplace communication, she starts gaining the tools and confidence needed to pursue job opportunities in Canada.

Starts Job as Front Desk Agent

Kanaho secures a front desk position at a hotel in Canada, combining the real-world preparation she received at Global Village with her professional experience from Japan.

If you're looking to learn English in Canada, I highly recommend Global Village English Schools. Their structured learning program, clean and comfortable facilities, reasonable prices, and, most importantly, the friendly, family-like atmosphere of the teachers made life in a foreign country incredibly helpful. I feel so fortunate that I found the best English school in town to give my nephew the opportunity to learn English and meet his IELTS mark in 6 months. Global Village staff was very nice, knowledgeable, available and genuine interested in my nephew goals and progress. The school is beautifully located, and they offer activities for the students to get to know Victoria better and make new friends. I can't think of one bad thing, everything was so great; and Victoria is an outstanding place to live at, so many beautiful landscapes.

The atmosphere inside the school is amazing. The teachers, employes, the students, all the people help you and cheer up you. In my opnion, I felt very safe and confortable in GV and Victoria.
