#5 – Academic Pathways &
Permanent Residency
Several options are available to students who wish to remain in Canada permanently after completing your English language studies, post-secondary education and post-graduation work experience in Canada.
Global Village Pathway students who proceed to post-secondary diploma or degree programs at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada may qualify for a post-graduate work permit (PGWP). The PGWP provides students with the opportunity to gain international experience, skills, and income upon graduation.
Please note that no programs at Global Village are eligible for a post-graduate work permit.
There are several immigration programs available to gain permanent residency (PR) in Canada. Because requirements and programs can change, it is always important to check the official websiteof Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the most up-to-date information.

🎓 Carlotta von Fintel was here for even shorter – 2 weeks! Lotti made the most of her time though and had lots of fun making friends, learning English and exploring the lovely surroundings! She told us she will be back in summer – we hope so!!
🎓 Aline Gomez Duran is leaving us after a massive 28 weeks. She made such progress here and also influenced us with her glamourous style and philosophical discussions! We hope to see her here again – she’s part of the family!!
