Covid-19 Safety – Omicron Variant in Canada

Jan Health and Safety

As the Omicron variant of Covid-19 continues to spread in Canada, we encourage all members of our community to practise health and safety measures to keep themselves safe.

The new variants spread the same way as the original COVID-19, although some of the newer variants, such as Omicron, transmit more easily between people. The BC Centre for Disease Control encourages these important measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19:

  • Getting vaccinated (2nd dose or booster)
  • Staying home when sick
  • Visiting others outdoors or in small groups
  • Wearing masks in indoor public spaces
  • Increasing ventilation, and
  • Cleaning your hands

Please review the “When to get tested for Covid-19” poster while monitoring for symptoms. Thank you for taking extra measure to protect the health of yourself and those around you.
